It acts like a girl can dress like women

Andy Warhol

Since we were children we were taught to act manly and dominant.
We were conscious – and unconscious – has warned, as a woman, otherwise there would have disastrous consequences for action.
We learned this from our parents, teachers, media and friends.
Let's take an example.
Take a visit to a local toy store.
You will notice that most are not toys for boys and girls.
In the children section you can find GI Joes, Transformers, and Thomas the train.
In the girls sectionYou will find Barbie dolls and Dora the Explorer.
These toys are not just "toys". These educational materials for children training to be a man or a woman.
If a boy plays with Barbie dolls, has risked his colleagues call him names and ostracized from their group.
If his mother or his father took him to get him, will be immediately the doll away from him and he fears that he is not socialized as a male.
This leads to boys and men to stay away to act like a girl.
There arenothing wrong with that except that some of the best seducers have developed their feminine side. These men are the "Dandies" how.
And 'oscillating between the role of a man and a woman.
The appeal of magic is that you can not classify as male or female.
If a person can not be classified, that other entrance. We are the ones that have formed our own way.
Sigmund Freud said that the libido is inherently bisexual. Edited in other words, we are also the same for our generation.
But, but the stigma prevents most of us to act out these impulses.
Women are attracted by the dandy, because it is a woman in a man's body.
Dandy are notoriously scandalous: they have little need to please people – especially women. This is another aspect of their charm.
A dandy, you train to be attentive to detail, please do not need to please others, and develop your feminine side.
Here are a couple of old Dandies: Rudolph Valentino, OscarWilde and Andy Warhol.
Check out this site if you want to discover more about seduction and learn how the girls you like.

The Pop Art Movement

January 29th, 2011 No Comments   Posted in Andy Warhol

Do contemporaries and present-day proponents of pop art canvas truly adhere to the principles that were set by the luminaries of prints? Is there a set of fundamental principles that guide the contemporaries in their production of pop art canvas?

These are the questions that continue to linger on seekers on the history and background on the revolutionary road that that was traveled by a technique known as art.

The Thought

Pop art as a movement started as direct opposition to the exclusivity that was crafted by the high street art of Paris known as Abstract Expressionism. How different and far is the technique of pop art from the art form that they strongly oppose is as distinguishable and discernible as day from night.

Pop Art had moved the results of creativity, talent, and passion. If there would be a set of principles that set prints from other types of art form it is that of its adherence in relativity, liberty, creativity, and non-exclusivity.

As each piece of art is viewed by different perspectives, the same art piece may define sadness and happiness at the same time. In canvas, there is no direction. An artist paints an experience, he did not dictate it.

Relativity may be one of, if not the primary, foundations of canvas. From the methods, medium, and even the means of production, prints and all of its ramifications are known to be limitless.

Creativity means no border, no standard. By continuously re-defining what art is and how it should be, pop art pushes the boundary of our meaning. As for its artists, prints symbolises indefiniteness. Thus, medium and channel to which its artists is endless, incomparable, and unconventional. The evolution of one of its sub-branch known as art is an exemplary evolution of their technique. By being able to accommodate technological advances in order to efficiently and effectively produce art pieces, had altered the exclusivity that is known as art.

Liberty means freedom. And with freedom, one may find unending source of inspiration. And, from this principle would prints source its unconventional method of propagation.

If there would be one thing that canvas could signify, it would be one thing: non-exclusivity. By becoming limitless and accommodating, prints provides opportunities to people who may have the passion but who are afraid of trying. If there is a mission to fulfill, then, pop art would have undergone an almost impossible and daunting task of relaying a belief – that everyone is an artist.

Pop Art Canvas: Completing Pop Art’s Mission

It can be said that canvas had closed the gap between failure and victory. With the availability of the graphic and design software and various reproduction machines, the technique to which canvas can be credited to had, indeed, provided an opportunity for all to take risks and explore a passion known as art. By digitally editing and re-constructing one’s digital photo, a person could apply pop art techniques, such as that of Andy Warhol‘s, in minutes and re-produce a canvas that would be perfect as a wall décor and unique gift piece.

Human Creativity

When perceptions or anticipation/imagination creates new input, the brain’s initial action is to match the newly acquired phenomena with existing patterns stored in the explicit or implicit memory systems. When the brain fails to find a match, similar stored patterns are synthesized with externally or internally derived perceptions in order to produce new patterns. This can be looked upon either as a thinking process or as creativity.

By its nature, the act of creation must produce a significantly altered pattern (or patterns). It must be sufficiently grounded in existing patterns if it is to have adequate context. Nevertheless, it must have a requisite novelty if it is to stimulate learning. Snyder stated that:

Creativity is the act of rebellion by definition. You have to be downright subversive to break the rules and to confront conventional wisdom, don’t you? And if everyone accepts what you are doing when you are doing it, you’re obviously not on the forefront and you are doing something that is within the paradigm. If every accepts what I am doing, I’m in the wrong field. (Evans, 2007)
Like Treffert, Snyder sees savants somewhat as role models of human potentiality. He believes that savants see “the world as it really is and not as we do – through the filters of our experience. ” (Evans, 2007). He said that with savants this filter system does not work. He thinks that this brain defect is the secret to being exceptionally creative.

Professor Gerhard Roth of the University of Bremen, Germany, agrees with Snyder’s major premise. Roth said:

What neuroscientists have discovered is that creativity is mainly a function of the neuronal networks in the frontal brain. And that these networks strongly depend on a stimulant called dopamine. The higher the stimulus of the dopamine of the prefrontal cortex, the more creative people are. This can be quite easily explained by the fact that the networks of the frontal brain have access to our long term memory, which is actually stored at the back of the brain. This means that ideas -notions that were previously unrelated – are now brought together in a state of excitation. Ideas that were never thought of are now being thought. (Evans, 2007)
Numerous examples exist supporting these views. Another academician, Professor Michael Fitzgerald of Trinity College in Dublin (Evans, 2007), reviewed the biographies of several creative geniuses including Newton, Beethoven, Socrates, Albert Hitchcock, Andy Warhol, and Albert Einstein. What he found in common with each of them was that they all showed clear signs of Asperger’s Syndrome, which is a mild version of autism. Fitzgerald stated emphatically that all experts agree that the balance (i.e. energy produced by differing levels of cerebral blood flow) between the left and right hemispheres is distorted in all geniuses. Furthermore, he also points out that the people he studied showed an extreme talent for logic and systematizing, two skills that presume an enhanced ability to quickly synthesize new patterns. However, he is also quick to point out that they have poor social skills. This begs the question as to whether their weakness in that arena – which tends to be more left hemisphere related – further assists in their right brain abilities.

Apparently Snyder, Roth, and Fitzgerald agree with Treffert that left brain dominance is a factor limiting mental abilities, especially creativity. Whether left brain inhibition is a product of a birth-related defect, a childhood illness, trauma, mechanically produced by TCM, or through meditation or hypnosis, the fact remains that once the “tyranny of the left brain” is resolved, a surprisingly different set of skills are produced. What these scientists are saying is that the brain goes through cycles in which the right brain experiences novelty, and the left brain makes sense of it and promotes its encoding. An effective left-brain/right-brain partnership – which is not adversely affected by the resistance mechanism of the left prefrontal cortex – supports enhanced creativity.

Andy Warhol Paintings

January 18th, 2011 No Comments   Posted in Andy Warhol

Andy Warhol was responsible for the introduction of a new school of thought in painting. Before Andy Warhol, painting was considered to be the something related to the depiction of the elites and the aristocrats. Warhol contradicted these pre-existing notions in his paintings. He said that paintings can draw their inspiration from the most common place things in life. The painter should just have the right mind to be able to portray it.

Warhol drew his attention from varying things. As a matter of fact, the inspiration behind his paintings has often amused the artists. Warhol used a ‘soup can’ image as his inspiration and made many paintings that revolved around the young people. Warhol shoe painting is yet another master-piece by the artist. In this painting he amalgamated bright colored shoes against the backdrop of a dark shade. This painting became quite popular and led Warhol‘s journey into the Television and media. Warhol was also hugely inspired by the journey of Marilyn Monroe. Her transition from being a common lady to being the most celebrated artist of her era was fascinating to Andy. Andy painted many paintings of Marilyn Monroe. The interesting part is that all these paintings that he made of Marilyn Monroe are an adaptation of a single picture of hers.

Andy also picked up the controversial issues of the society and portrayed the problems related with them in his paintings. He released many series that were based on the social and cultural problems of his times. His gun series of paintings is still a topic of much discussion amongst the art critics. These paintings promulgated in the public eye the disadvantages of the increasing use of guns in the American society. Andy Warhol paintings provided food for thought to many people. They still do incite people to think.

Throughout his life, Andy Warhol tried to see inspiration and motivation in things that make life of the common. Whereas he was a celebrated artist, his works speak purely of all the attraction that he held for the life of the common.

Warhol painted to promulgate issues that were considered trifle or mere or below standard in the painting era that existed before him. He carved his niche. The best part about Andy Warhol painting was that his art was affordable. The prices were not the kind that would have left you bankrupted. Hence, many art lovers, irrespective of their financial positions, were able to afford Andy Warhol original pieces. Lately, many of Andy Warhol Paintings have found place in different streams like fashions, media etc. This is because Andy‘s paintings have been very influential in molding the thought process of millions in the society.

Celebrities – 15 Minutes Of Fame

January 8th, 2011 No Comments   Posted in Andy Warhol

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Celebrities, for the most part, stand the test of time. Once they become stars, they remain stars until the day they die and even beyond. But there is another type of celebrity. This kind is known as the “fleeting celebrity”. They are said to have their “15 minutes of fame”, which was a phrase coined by the late Andy Warhol. Our culture has seen a number of these 15 minute wonders. We’re going to take a look at just a few of them here.

Why don’t we start off with two for the price of one? Remember quite a few years ago when a 16 year old girl by the name of Amy Fisher had an affair with a guy by the name of Joey Buttafuco? Amy ended up shooting the guy’s wife in the head and ended up going to prison for 6 years. Today, nobody gives her or Joey a second thought.

Then of course there was Monica Lewinsky who had sex with President Bill Clinton. Of course Clinton’s celebrity status has not diminished since, but Lewinsky has so fallen off the radar map that today nobody even knows where this woman is or what she’s doing.

Then there was the big scandal in the late 80s involving Jim Bakker, who began the Praise The Lord Ministry in Fort Hill, South Carolina in 1974. A big sex scandal and some shady business dealings involving the PTL landed Bakker in prison for 45 years. Most people today don’t even give him a second thought.

In the world of music, a guy by the name of Carl Douglas gave us the totally ridiculous song “Kung Fu Fighting”. While Douglas may have been yesterday’s news after that song mercifully fell off the charts, the song itself has been in more Kung Fu movies than you can possibly imagine. But NOBODY remembers who did it.

And then of course there was the novelty song of the 90s, “I’m Too Sexy” by Right Said Fred. These bald headed brothers probably grew hair after this total embarrassment of a song. Neither one of them has been heard from since and the song only gets played as a parody. A very bad one.

In the world of comedy, there was probably no greater 15 minute of fame star than the one and only Unknown Comic. Murray Langston, who was so desperately in need of money at the time, didn’t want his friends to know so he put a bag over his head and appeared on the “Gong Show”. He was an instant hit. He also burned out faster than a speeding nova.

And of course who could ever forget the incomparable Blossom Rock? (who)? She just happened to play the grandmother on the short lived TV show “The Adams Family”. Rock was actually the little known sister of the famous actress Jeanette McDonald. Obviously she didn’t have quite he luck or he talent.

And the list goes on and on. So many that lasted so briefly. Makes you really appreciate those who have stood the test of time.

Celebrities and Contemporary Art

January 6th, 2011 No Comments   Posted in Andy Warhol

Image : http://www.flickr.com

The concept of contemporary art basically means art that’s relatively new. In this case, most art collectors consider the period from the 1960′s until now to be contemporary art, which would include people like Andy Warhol, Mark Titchner and Tim Hawkinson, but some will include earlier pieces from the 1930′s through the present as well.

Usually newer art doesn’t get as much attention as what came centuries earlier, but these days not only is it getting great attention, it’s worth a lot. And with that comes those with celebrity who find their way into the art collector world, sometimes in extremes.

The most recent news comes from Russia where steel magnate Roman Abramovich has actually purchased an island housing an old Russian military base for around $250 million with plans to build his own contemporary art museum. It’s unsure how many pieces he has, but it would be extremely odd for him to go to this length if he didn’t have a substantial collection.

But he wouldn’t be alone. Elton John is known to have a very extensive contemporary art collection that includes pieces from Warhol, Helmut Newton, and David Hockney, as well as one of the largest photography collections in the world that he splits between all of his residences. Neil Patrick Harris also has an extensive collection throughout his Los Angeles mansion, and often opens it up for viewing whenever he’s supporting a charity with works of Andrew Sendor and Tony Payne. And early in 2010, Gap founders Don and Doris Fisher showed a lot of generosity by donating around 1,100 contemporary art pieces to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art to help it become one of the top museums in the world.

For the most part celebrities just love collecting contemporary art for their own purposes, and obviously it extends beyond just painting. Tobey Maguire is known throughout Hollywood as an extensive collector for many years. Jennifer Aniston not only collects paintings but also has a nice collection of glass works. Val Kilmer not only loves sculpture, he’s also been working on a sculpture park in New Mexico to exhibit his collection.

And that’s not all. Many celebrities are creating their own works as well and many have been sold for big dollars. Dennis Hopper was known for his photography collection and had raised a lot of money for charity before passing away in 2010. Ron Wood of the Rolling Stones is a contemporary artist as well. Leonard Nimoy is known as a great contemporary photographer, especially after the release of his collection of zaftig women called The Full Body Project. Even Frank Sinatra, ol’ blue eyes himself, was a contemporary artist, creating a series of lithographs that are still very popular.

It’s no wonder that celebrities of today would be champions for the art of their time period. The same thing happened with art from the past as well. Everyone knows what they like, and celebrities have the funds to purchase as much of it as they can. Whether they’re buying it or creating it, celebrities and contemporary art go together very well

The Last Supper Prints by Leonardo Da Vinci

December 19th, 2010 No Comments   Posted in Andy Warhol

Image : http://www.flickr.com

The Last Supper print by Leonardo da Vinci is an influential painting by one of the world’s greatest artists. This article uncovers information on The Last Supper and discusses Da Vinci’s career in detail. The painting shows Jesus Christ, the Christian icon, in the last few days of his life as he sits around with friends in a scene included in Christian biblical writings. The exact verses have becoming much more frequently studied because of this and other paintings that have become famous since.

After the influential power of Da Vinci’s painting had sunk in there were to be further versions of the work over many centuries by artists such as Andy Warhol, Salvador Dali, Titian, Simon Ushakov, Jacopo Bassano, Palma il Vecchio, Tilman Riemenschneider and Tintoretto. Alongside The Last Supper there were also many other great inventions, prints and drawings by Da Vinci which included Female Head, Vitruvian Man, The Virgin of the Rocks (The Virgin with the Infant St. John Adoring the Infant Christ), Mona Lisa and Flying Machine.

To conclude it is clear that The Last Supper will remain one of the world’s most respected murals and it also makes an excellent choice for those looking to add a classy looking traditional print to their homes or offices. The original is best suited to most homes that have a traditional styled interior but can suit others reasonably well too, and is best with a large frame to offer a grand finish to match the qualities of the original.

A Review of Andy Warhol Pictures

December 6th, 2010 No Comments   Posted in Andy Warhol

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Decades ago Andy Warhol pictures were a real revolution to the world of art. All the important aspects of our culture have been more or less shaped in his pictures and that’s a fact whether you love him or hate him (and most people either do the first or the second). Pop art would never have done what it has already if it wasn’t for Andy Warhol and his pictures. He was way ahead of his time and helped define the genre.

The first pictures, in which people can actually see that the fame of the artist and his status, along with the work of art, presented as a fetish cult status are far more important than the work itself, were the ones of Andy Warhol. His pictures are also the first place where people can find synthesized and differentiated high and low art. Artistic appreciation of the popular culture presented as a thing not less worthy of administration than any other culture coming before or after is shown in Andy Warhol pictures more than in the works of any other artist before him.

Andy Warhol posters were hanging all over my room when I was in college. Actually the first Andy Warhol picture I saw ever saw was the cover of the first album of a popular at this time group called the Velvet Underground. The picture itself was one of his most famous ones – the picture of a banana which you’ve probably seen lots of times virtually everywhere. I can admit that I discovered the pictures of Andy Warhol just because The Velvet Underground were big fans of his and I on my turn was one of the biggest they had.

I can never deny originality of Andy Warhol, even not being such a fanatic about him anymore. Some people find it strange to call original a person who during his entire life did nothing else but copied other people’s works, but I still think he was real genius. Most people don’t ever consider that such works like advertising works could be called art, at least till they see an Andy Warhol picture. After that people’s eyes do change and this is enough to prove that there is some real value in Andy Warhol. And even if he blew my mind when I first saw his pictures in college, I don’t think he could be called an ill wind as in the saying “it is an ill wind that blows no mind”.

Master Artists

December 5th, 2010 No Comments   Posted in Andy Warhol

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Master artists refers to the most famous artists over generations and centuries. Typically master artists is a term which refers to oil painters, normally in the post-middle ages. With being from the English language, Master artists also normally covers western artists, from the best known art movements. These can be renaissance, impressionist and more contemporary artists.

Famous artists from each major art movement of the last 500 years remain household names, but the emphasis is always on the newest ones. From the traditional art movements such as Renaissance and Baroque most people will still know about the likes of Rembrandt, Michelangelo, Leonardo Da Vinci, Rubens, Titian, Rubens and Vermeer. They are all certainly respected as masters of their craft.

More recently the likes of Vincent Van Gogh and Claude Monet were involved in the impressionist and post-impressionist movements. Abstract art then took hold and has drawn a big crowd of followers around the world. Masters of abstract art include the likes of Kandinsky and Mondrian.

The umbrella of contemporary art has also given us artists such as Andy Warhol, David Hockney and Robert Lichtenstein. Another movement of Cubism brought us the hugely famous Pablo Picasso. Surrealist art then gave birth to Salvador Dali. These artists are all hugely popular even today and laid the path of success for the art styles in which they were involved.

Art is full of master artists for every different direction that is has travelled over the past 500 years and many more will be added to the halls of fame in future as new methods and techniques emerge.
